Permit Owner File · West Virginia

Every new well permit in a package of named counties, matched to the listed mineral owners under it, delivered weekly as a CSV with mailing addresses. The Texas Midland Basin package runs today on free county appraisal-district mineral rolls. A West Virginia package is built on request, and only where a public assessment record of mineral interests exists for the counties you name.

What you get

How a request works

Email the counties you work. Within two business days we reply with what the public record carries for each county, how many permits were filed there in the last 90 days, and when the first file can ship. If no public mineral assessment roll exists for a county, we say so rather than sell a list we cannot build.

Listed owners are prospecting candidates, not title. Assessment records reflect the taxpayer of record at the roll date and may not reflect later transfers. Permits may be amended, withdrawn or never drilled.

This report compiles and structures publicly available oil & gas records from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Office of Oil and Gas — drilling permit applications, operator, status, and location. We monitor development activity and public filings near a location you tell us about; we do NOT determine mineral ownership, confirm what you own, or provide legal, tax, or investment advice. Nothing here replaces a title opinion, a landman, or the official WVDEP record. Activity is mapped to the well surface location the operator filed with the WVDEP, not your mineral tract. Data is current only as of the source vintage shown on the page. Our total liability for any report is capped at the amount you paid for it. Found an error?
